The first Zen Wars update is out! We’ve listened to your feedback and fixed a few usability issues that you were having, like making the HUD go even more transparent. We’ve also implemented an extra queue for quick games. Here’s the change log:
• Quick Multiplayer Battle: Play an epic 3 life game battle or a quick 1 life battle if you’re in a hurry
• Number of “players playing” does not get stuck at 0.
• Fixed a crash related to receiving achievements in survival mode
• The HUD’s transparency is now increased when you’re doing things on the top edge of the screen.
Please rate the update on iTunes to keep the free updates coming! We’re working on the iPad update which will add many of the features you’ve been requesting, and are also adding two new difficulty settings: casual for people who like to take things slow, and legendary for the true Zen Masters! Also coming soon: tournaments! Stay tuned…

After 2 years of work, 404 commits and what feels like an infinite amount of features added and bugs fixed, Zen Wars has finally been submitted to Apple for approval!
This means that, if nothing goes wrong, you will be holding your own copy of Zen Wars in your virtual hands next week. We can’t wait to read your comments, see your scores on the leaderboards and face you in multiplayer games!
Read up on the features coming your way on our features page.
If you haven’t done so yet, enjoy our game trailer on YouTube.
We’re also ready to announce the winner of the Vote for an Icon poll. It was a close race. In the end we took your feedback and comments and chose Lord Evilz to represent us on the App Store. We feel he best represents what the game is about: destruction, humor, and a comic look. And based on the poll results, you do too. Below is the winning icon that you’ll be tapping to launch Zen Wars. We hope you like it as much as we do.
